I have played millions of hands of chemin de fer. I began sneaking into the casinos when I was 16. I have bet on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. With all that said I have still lost an abundance of funds at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it very hard to beat the game.
I still like the game and bet on a regular basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this method or beat the house, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a match of streaks. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy 21. When I lose I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the action back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this method! And a number of weeks ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can lose much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you witness gamble this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a $5 game.
Bet 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Bet $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10
Wager 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original ten dollar wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Wager eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 80 dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 1 hundred and sixty dollar bet
If you left at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
