The general concept of the game is to be assigned cards totaling up to 21. Each gambler is assigned two cards. When a player is dealt a 9 or less and an Ace they’ve been given a soft hand. When the blackjack player is dealt no Ace cards it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been handed to every player at the blackjack table, which includes the dealer, each player is given the chance to make one of 6 decisions:
Taking another card (Hit): When a black jack player announces "hit" the croupier will give him another card, if the adding of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed 21 the blackjack player will have lost and that’s the end of the game, if the card makes the total to twenty one the gambler wins and if the total has not yet reached 21 they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you’ve been given: If a black jack player is happy with the hand they will stand. As soon as this has happened the dealer will reveal their cards and the blackjack player who has accumulated 21 or the closet to twenty-one will win.
Doubling Down: A black jack player may request to double down which doubles the wager they have laid. Once you’ve taken this procedure you can only receive one more card. The specifics of doubling down are usually out lined by the table or betting house rules so prior to wagering be certain you are comfortable with the casino established rules. If you are gambling at an on-line casino this is usually quite easy.
